Restoration street
Restore The Town

Restore The Town. That sentence is Steam's own heading for the sequel's new street. The Town was a rumour in the original game; the 16 June 2026 diary finally walks the gate. Homes are abandoned. Stalls can be rebuilt. Town orders turn surviving residents' problems into revenue while working zombies stay on the factory floor. Digital Trends' launch feature repeats the same quest-to-profit loop without adding a district map, so the guide stays with Steam names: houses, orders, stalls, elections, and the south clearing.
Restore The Town
The June diary says The Town was founded in the era of the Old Mighty God and is not in its glory days. You restore abandoned homes for the people who are still there. Back to Life awards when the town takes its first steps toward recovery: Steam's description points at a recovered house. Urban Planner awards when you have restored all the houses. Those two marks are the public housing ladder.
There is no official house-by-house list. Do not expect a numbered block map on this wiki. Walk the street, take the restoration jobs the townsfolk give you, and watch the housing achievements if you want a completion check. Jack finding his way to town (A Man of Many Talents) and Gunter entering the story (The Man Behind the Curtain) sit on the story filter; they share the street with housing without being housing tasks.
The exclusive stills on this page are the Steam Town screenshot plus two official news interiors. They show streets, timber houses, and a gate: the restoration surface, not a menu. Use them to recognize the place the original game only rumoured.

Town orders
Open for Business awards when you complete your first town order. Merchants' Best Friend awards at 25 merchant orders. Supplier awards at 50 supplies, with Steam's caption that the town is depending on you. Patron of merchants awards when you have built all the market stalls. Together those four public rows are the commerce ladder: one order, a stall set, a supply volume, and a merchant streak.
Orders are how restoration becomes revenue. Steam's launch copy says you turn townsfolk problems into profit while undead workers handle the lifting. That is why automation has to exist before the street feels rich. If an order asks for supplies you have not crafted, go back to the factory rather than standing in a stall. Filter the achievement register to town when you want those four rows without the burial and combat noise.
A Man of Many Talents fires when Jack has found his way to the town, which is a story beat that happens on this street. It is not a town order. Keep orders, stalls, and supplies on the commerce ladder, and keep Jack on the story filter unless you are just noting that the street has named visitors.

The south clearing
The combat diary and the story diary both name the south of Town. A New Dawn awards when the south part of Town has been cleared of zombies. That is a combat mark with a street address, which is why this restoration page has to mention it. You do not get a coordinate. You get a named district that biting zombies held and that the undead army can take back as part of the campaign.
The People Have Spoken awards when the elections are over and the future has been decided. Steam prints that as a town-category row, not as a hidden story row. It sits next to housing and orders as a civic beat. Use it as a campaign checkpoint, then return to stalls and houses if the street still looks ruined. For the fight itself, open Lead your undead army into battle.
The story diary also names another village, another tavern, and another forest as part of the larger old world. Those are not The Town, and those places are other routes. The south clearing is the one named fight with a Town address. Everything else is a different route on the inquisitor map.
Named faces on the street
Steam achievements name Januarius and Jully (Two faces), Jack (A Man of Many Talents), Gunter (The Man Behind the Curtain), Linda (A Night to Remember), and several hidden rows whose public descriptions stay empty. Those names are first-party. Full quest graphs are not. Steam does not list schedules or gift tables for them.
Two faces is the early meeting that most players have already unlocked. Linda's concert is rarer. Hidden rows such as An Unlikely Pair and A Dangerous Romance sit at 0.1 percent in the Steam roster and stay hidden until Steam reveals them. Walk the street for housing and orders; use the inquisitor page when you want the campaign's election and ending rather than stall placement.
Friends in Low Places (you met the bandits) and A Little Magic (the fairy answered the call) also fire on this map according to Steam names, still without a published quest graph. Log them as story marks, then return to houses and orders if the street is why you opened this page.
Quest to profit without a district map
Digital Trends described the launch as less grind, a bigger world, and actual zombie warfare. The Town is the bigger-world street that the original game only hinted. Profit is the restoration hook: houses, stalls, and orders convert resident problems into money while working zombies stay on the factory floor. Warfare is the south clearing, which the army route names so you know the street has a combat edge.
Without an official district map, the useful player task is still linear. Restore a house. Complete the first town order. Rebuild a stall if the mark is available. When biting zombies hold the south, switch to the army page, then come back. The Town is a loop, not a menu of unnamed blocks, and the exclusive stills are how you recognize it in 1.0.
The June diary is still the best first-party walk through the gate. It does not give coordinates. It gives history: Old Mighty God, decline, rumours from the first game, and a street you can finally enter. Pair that diary with the four commerce achievements and the housing pair, and you have the restoration loop this atlas will actually stand behind.
Frequently asked questions
Was The Town playable in the original game?

What is the first town-order mark?
Open for Business is the public Steam achievement for completing your first town order. Later town rows cover 25 merchant orders, 50 supplies, all market stalls, all houses, and the election once the street is further along Complete that first order before chasing stall completion.
